I've had this feeling where my heart just "drops" after anticipating something for a while and suddenly finding out it's not going to happen after all. It's like a disappointment that I know I'm going to have to accept since in the big picture, it wasn't a big deal. To the world, to others, it really won't cause a major disaster; and maybe it won't be a disaster to me either but, it's almost comparable to someone holding your last favorite cookie in their hands to feed it to you, but at the last minute they put the whole thing in their mouth. That feeling.
